Karl Jackson has written and directed his breakthrough short film ‘Independence’ funded by the BFI NETWORK. The film will be premiering at the BAFTA qualifying London film festival 2023 and has earned him recognition as a Film London Lodestar "Director to watch". Independence is the second instalment to his trilogy on at-risk young people with the third instalment ‘Excluded’ due to be released later this year.  The trilogy forms part of a wider TV series currently in development through his production company Mirror Door Productions along with his debut feature film ‘ Eternal Child’.
